On November 14–15, Tam Nong District People's Committee held a training session to prepare knowledge and communication skills for the Project on the Sarus Crane Development and Conservation at Tram Chim National Park in 2024.

Trainees at the session

There were 150 trainees in each of the three classes, which included leaders and cadres, civil servants, and public employees responsible for propaganda work at the district's divisions, and sociopolitical organizations; members of the Farmers' Association, Youth Union, and Clubs; and students from the district.

Master Nguyen Hoai Bao, a lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Sciences, and Mr. Doan Van Nhanh, the Deputy Director of the Center for Conservation and International Cooperation, Tram Chim National Park, gave the trainees an introduction to the park, sarus cranes, and some of the fundamentals of the sarus crane conservation and development project.

The training course will equip trainees with information on how to communicate the party's rules and policies, state laws and regulations, and local policies and measures related to sarus crane development, preservation, and restoration. From there, a variety of individuals both inside and beyond the area will receive information, communication, and promotion about the preservation and growth of sarus cranes at Tram Chim National Park.
