"On November 7th, the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee issued an official dispatch to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, requesting support in exchanging with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand regarding the sarus crane cooperation program at Tram Chim National Park, to expedite the procedures for receiving the cranes," said Mr. Lam.

After the inspection, Mr. Le Quoc Phong requested Tram Chim National Park to urgently complete the infrastructure and crane care plan, as well as crane conservation cooperation procedures, such as a memorandum of understanding on sarus crane conservation, to serve the next steps of the project.
"By the end of November at the latest, Tram Chim National Park must have a detailed plan for the crane's travel itinerary by road and air, prioritizing crane transportation; carefully prepare conditions for crane care, such as: food sources, stockpiled medicine...
Especially, plan the area to arrange a reasonable place for tourists to visit the cranes, consult with experts to avoid affecting the living conditions of the cranes after they are brought to Dong Thap," Mr. Phong said.
It is expected that before the project announcement ceremony on December 14th, the two sarus cranes from Thailand will be brought to Tram Chim National Park.
